Fruit of love, obsession and a touch of madness, Martin Miller's Gin is a premium gin made with 10 carefully selected botanicals that are mixed with pure Icelandic water, a tasteful detail.
A copper still called "Angela", a century-old jewel is the star of the show. Before distillation, the grain spirits and botanicals are left to soak overnight.
Martin Miller's prides itself on having a smaller percentage of the spirit during the long, slow process of distillation. But that is not the only thing that is special about this gin. The botanical recipe is a flavored feast of juniper and other common plant products such as coriander, angelica, orange peel and orris root, also often cassia and cinnamon bark, nutmeg and licorice and another secret ingredient believed to be what is cucumber
Like all gins, it must be reduced with water to obtain a bottled alcoholic strength of 40% vol. However Martin Miller's takes this to an almost obsessive extreme by transporting the elixir on a 3,000 mile journey to Borganes in Iceland to be mixed with what is considered to be the purest water on the planet. The end result of all this work is a gin that is smooth on the palate, with fragrant, slightly spicy aromas and a well-balanced botanicals profile, with strong hints of Parma violet and lavender.
